Termination of the liability shift under VISA from October 2021

Dear partners,

We inform you that from October 17, 2021, VISA payment system will no longer apply the rule of transferring responsibility for fraudulent chargebacks.

If now the electronic identifiers ECI 05 and 06 provide for the transfer of responsibility to the issuer for all fraudulent chargebacks, then after October 17, this rule will apply only to those participants who have switched to the 3DS 2.0 security protocol.
